Information

Just a little information about myself: I am married to Tony, and have one daughter Kaela who was born in August 2002 and currently attends Bourton Meadow School. I am originally from London and moved to Buckingham in July 2005. I studied Humanities at university and have a 2:2 degree. I have worked as a classroom assistant in a junior school and as a special needs assistant in a secondary school and I therefore have experience of working with children of all ages. I believe that the first years in a child’s life are the most important and good foundations are made through education, learning and behaviour mixed with plenty of fun.

I am a registered childminder and am therefore inspected by OFSTED. I am a member of the National Childminding Association. I have completed an Introduction to Childminding course accredited by the National Childminding Association.

I am also fully First Aid Trained and hold a certificate in Early Years First Aid.

Nappies must be provided for each child. They will be used for that child alone and I will request more supplies when I am running short.

All baby food and milk must be provided by the parents.

Suntan creams will be provided unless parents require a specific product then they must provide it. All children will use sun cream regardless of their skin colour.

All children should be provided with a minimum of two changes of clothes. These should be clearly labelled. Please provide hats, scarves and gloves for cold weather and also a pair of Wellington boots if possible. Sun hats must be provided for the summer, if there is no sun hat then the child will not be permitted to play in the garden on very sunny days.

Please only send your child in clothes that you are not worried about getting messy. Aprons will be provided for messy play but children always get messy no matter what!

In the event of a child falling ill then please arrange to collect your child as soon as possible. If there is illness within the childminders home then I will inform you as soon as possible so that should you wish to find alternative child care you have time to do so. You are welcome to send your child to me if I am able to care for them but should the illness be passed to your child then please remember that your child is still prohibited from the setting for 48hours following their illness.
